The PSCHITT-Rail platform is a dynamic train driving simulator dedicated to research.
Designed by LAMIH, a multidisciplinary research laboratory focusing on transport and mobility, it is part of the laboratory’s "Autonomous Mobility" technology platform.
This immersive platform is equipped with a generic tram/train driving cab (scale 1) mounted on a mobile base restoring movement.
Visual and sound immersion is ensured via an embedded video rendering system (225° screens) and multi-channel audio.
The railway simulation is based on the OKSimRail environment developed by Oktal-Sydac. This environment has been specifically modified for research purposes.
The PSCHITT-Rail platform thus benefits from a range of special features, including the integration of new dynamic tram models, the development of graphical driving interfaces and the incorporation of new equipment.
For example, the platform allows the prototyping and evaluation of driver assistance systems, or studies related to driver behaviour in accident situations.
This equipment is part of the regional platform AV-Lab of CPER RITMEA,
