Centre d'Innovation des Technologies sans Contact - EuraRFID (CITC-EuraRFID)

Platform

Description

The CITC is a Centre of Technological Resources and Expertise of Contactless Technologies, it is also a cluster dedicated to the Internet of Things. Each year, the CITC supports more than 60 members (SMEs, start-up companies, associations, competitiveness clusters, universities, etc.) in their innovative projects by developing the necessary resources, both economically and technologically and in terms of know-how.

The Innovation Centre has real technical expertise and has a Research & Innovation laboratory.
It offers its members access to various platforms allowing for example to make prototypes of objects (FabLab), to carry out electromagnetic wave measurements, to carry out tests and pre-certifications (etc.), while benefiting from the advice and experience of the innovation centre.

It initiates and manages integrative and collaborative research projects and develops full-scale test platforms and offers a training cycle to train on the technologies of tomorrow.

The CITC has two labels: Centre de Ressources Technologiques (CRT) and European Digital Innovation Hub (E DIH). EDIH works as a one-stop shop that helps businesses and communities address digital challenges in a dynamic way and become more competitive in AI, Cybersecurity and the Internet of Things.

Example(s) of projects

1. Act'Emploi: The Act'Emploi project aims to create, to develop and implement a unique cross-border training programme in order to improve the quality of service in the personal assistance sector and above all to facilitate the occupational integration of job seekers through their sustainable integration on the labour market. 🡭

2.ColRobot: ColRobot is an h2020 project to develop collaborative robotics in the automotive and aerospace industries. 🡭

3. Factory 4.0: The Factory 4.0 project, co-financed by the European Union, is a project aimed at modernising the industrial facilities of SMEs in the Hauts-de-France region, the provinces of West Flanders, Hainaut, Namur and Luxembourg. 🡭

4. ICAReS: ICARes aims to develop a cross-border cluster that creates the conditions for drones and advanced communication technologies. The aim is to raise awareness and train the region’s economic players in the use of these new technologies. 🡭

5. DOMO: The project aims to identify and adapt new technologies related to the needs of the person with intellectual disability, with or without associated disability, to facilitate and promote self-determination and inclusion in society. 🡭
