Electricity & Vehicules (eV)



Our platform aims to develop new systems for innovative electrified vehicles and then contribute to a cleaner and fuel-efficient mobility. The specificity of the eV platform is that we can study each sub-system at the system level by putting it in interaction with the other sub-systems of the studied vehicle. This system approach is possible due to the systematization of the "HIL (Hardware-In-the-Loop) testing" approach combining virtual and real subsystems, as well as two formalisms - EMR (Energetic Macroscopic Representation - to represent and organize models and control) and VGF (Vectorial Generalized Formalism - to decompose a complex system into simpler interconnected subsystems). We are open to all academic and industrial collaborations and propose services in line with our expertise.

Our platform possess a wide range of equipment regrouped in different spaces:
• e-Vehicle workspace: instrumented vehicles (Tazzari Zero, Renault Zoe, Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius) – study of usage and energy consumption of electrified vehicles
• e-Infrastructure workspace: reduced-scale traction power supply of subway and charging system of electric vehicle – study and control of power supply of electrified vehicles
• e-Storage workspace: batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cell – study and control of energy storage subsystems and association for electrified vehicles
• e-Drive workspace: multiphase electrical machines with low and high voltages, classical three-phase electrical machine, power converters – study and control of traction subsystems of electrified vehicles
• e-Transmission workspace: test bench with epicyclic gearing – study and control of innovative transmission of electrified vehicles
