Experimental platform for turbulence (PlEX)
Platform
Our platform contains numerous instruments for the measurement and study of turbulence and turbulent flows. Our principal equipment is a boundary layer wind tunnel - a unique facility in Europe by its dimensions (20 m long by 2 m wide and 1 m high). This wind tunnel, designed to allow the use of state-of-the-art optical metrology, is used for fundamental and applied studies, including the study of wall turbulence, object/flow interaction with the boundary layer, flow control, etc. Our platform also includes a mixer and a JetPlan. We are open to all academic and industrial collaborations and propose services in line with our expertise.
