Habitat and smart city

Research team - ULR 4515

Description

Our team is structured around two major research topics: habitat and urban infrastructure associated with the smart city. The scale of observations is different but complementary - these two topics cenverge when the overall management of an urbanized area is studied.
For the Habitat topic, research is focused on the study of components and techniques that contribute to the control of energy performance of buildings, comfort and quality of interior environments. The multi-scale approach, both experimental and numerical, makes it possible to link the study of physical transfer phenomena with the overall performance of buildings.
The topic of Urban Infrastructure and Smart City covers the application of the concept of intelligent systems to urban systems (city, neighborhood, buildings, water and energy). The activities involve integrating existing technologies and services and adapting them to the smart management of the city and other urban systems.
