Laboratory of Spectroscopy for Interactions, Reactivity and Environment (LASIRE)

Research unit - UMR 8516

Description

The field of expertise of our laboratory encompasses various types of spectroscopy, including vibrational (RAMAN scattering, infrared absorption, neutron scattering), electronic (UV-visible absorption, fluorescence), magnetic (NMR and EPR) as well as analytical techniques (HPLC-GC and ICP MS/AES). We are also specializing in separative techniques as well as molecular modeling techniques and chemometrics. The main field of application of our laboratory is physical chemistry and more specifically molecular spectroscopies applied to the study of complex physico-chemical systems: natural systems, photo-active chemical systems, biomaterials, materials with organic and inorganic radicals, etc. The unit is composed of four teams and also coordinates several technological platforms. Our partnership policy aims at developing research with private companies as well as with public organizations, agencies and communities.
