Proteomics, Inflammatory Response, Mass Spectrometry (PRISM)

Research unit - U1192

Description

PRISM laboratory is a unique laboratory creating and developing new diagnostic tools, treatments, technologies and fundamental biological concepts, all oriented towards personalized medicine in oncology and neurology. We utilize state-of-the art molecular imaging and multi-OMICs technologies to better understand the pathophysiology of oncological and neurological disorders as well as to discover new treatment options. Our research activity is structured around two main axes: technological innovations and therapeutic innovations. We also developed two technological platforms: CLIC-Imaging, offering services in OMICS and mass spectrometry imaging; and 3D Cell OMICs, proposing services related to 3D cell culture (such as creation and maintenance of organoids and mixed spheroids, 3D organ bioprinting, exosome studies) for drug efficacy tests and for the development of new therapeutics. We are open to all academic and industrial collaborations and propose services in line with our expertise.

Example(s) of projects

• SpiderMass : a novel instrument enabling non-targeted molecular information to be collected in-vivo for guided surgery. This system allows the minimally invasive collection of molecular data without requiring the use of probes or labeling.
• MacBeth : development of a therapeutic strategy allowing the reactivation of macrophages present in tumors.
• Ghost : development of mass spectrometry-based strategies to discover a new class of proteins “Alternative proteins” (altProts) or “Ghost Proteins”.
