Thin Layers and NanoMaterials (CMNM)

Research team

Description

All the work carried out by the team is at the interface of solid and condensed matter chemistry and is focused on the world of nano. These activities concern the synthesis, characterization and modelling of new nanomaterials for applications to nano-devices in areas such as nanoelectronics, optics and energy. We focus our work on the study of thin layers of lead-free piezoelectric oxides for integration into nanoelectromechanical systems, on the study of self-organised colloidal materials based on nanoparticles, polymer/nanoparticle hybrid materials and on the development of new photoactive oxides for solar energy conversion applications.
